Last Updated: 01/1/2026

Welcome to the website of the Equity Enrichment Alliance (“EEA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EEA's website, online resources, educational materials, event information, forms, and other services made available through this website (collectively, the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. About Equity Enrichment Alliance

The Equity Enrichment Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating equitable educational opportunities and supporting underserved youth, educators, families, schools, and communities.

Through educational programs, professional development, conferences, advocacy, community initiatives, and other activities, EEA works to help individuals and communities develop the knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive.

Information presented on this Website is intended to further EEA's charitable and educational mission.

2. Permitted Use of the Website

You may use the Website for lawful, personal, educational, informational, and noncommercial purposes consistent with EEA's mission.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers, accounts, databases, or connected systems;
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the Website;
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technologies;
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect information from the Website without authorization;
  • Impersonate EEA, its staff, representatives, partners, or another person;
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with EEA;
  • Use EEA content or branding in a way that falsely suggests EEA's sponsorship, endorsement, or approval; or
  • Use the Website in a manner that infringes the rights of EEA or others.

EEA reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website when reasonably necessary to protect EEA, its users, its systems, or others.

3. Educational and Informational Purposes

Content provided through the Website is intended for general educational and informational purposes.

EEA provides programs and resources relating to education, youth development, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, conflict resolution, trauma-informed practices, culturally responsive education, restorative practices, social justice, professional development, and related subjects.

These materials are not intended to substitute for individualized medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice.

Participation in an EEA program, workshop, questionnaire, conference, or other activity does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, or other professional treatment relationship with EEA.

If you or someone else is experiencing an emergency or requires professional assistance, please contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

4. Programs, Events, and Registration

EEA may offer conferences, workshops, educational programs, training sessions, community events, and other activities.

Registration requirements, eligibility, schedules, locations, fees, participant expectations, and other conditions may vary by program.

EEA may modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel a program or event when reasonably necessary.

Certain programs or events may also have additional participation agreements, consent forms, waivers, codes of conduct, or other terms. Those requirements apply in addition to these Website Terms.

5. Programs Involving Minors

Some EEA programs and activities are designed for children and young people.

Participation by minors may require authorization from a parent, legal guardian, school, educational institution, or other authorized party, depending on the program.

Additional consent, participation, media-release, emergency-contact, transportation, or other forms may be required for specific youth programs.

Parents, guardians, schools, and other responsible adults should review the requirements associated with a particular program before allowing a minor to participate.

6. Donations

EEA may provide opportunities to make charitable donations through the Website or through third-party payment providers.

By submitting a donation, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the information you submit is accurate.

Donations may be subject to additional terms imposed by the applicable payment processor.

EEA will provide donation acknowledgments or receipts when appropriate. Donors should consult their own tax professionals regarding the tax treatment or deductibility of any contribution.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, donations are generally considered final.

If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact EEA promptly.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and its original content—including text, graphics, photographs, videos, illustrations, program materials, curriculum materials, designs, logos, branding, downloadable resources, and other materials—are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission by EEA and may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You may view, download, or print Website materials for personal, educational, and noncommercial use unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, sell, license, commercially distribute, modify, republish, or create derivative commercial works from EEA materials without prior written permission when such permission is required by law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of EEA intellectual property to a Website user.

8. EEA Name, Logos, and Branding

The Equity Enrichment Alliance name, logos, program names, campaign names, graphics, and other identifying materials may constitute trademarks or other protected intellectual property.

You may not use EEA branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, partnership, endorsement, certification, or affiliation without authorization.

Organizations interested in partnering with EEA or using EEA branding should contact us for permission.

9. User Submissions

The Website may allow visitors to submit messages, feedback, comments, applications, registrations, photographs, testimonials, or other materials.

You retain ownership of original content you submit unless a separate agreement states otherwise.

By voluntarily submitting content for publication, promotion, or use by EEA, you represent that you have the right to provide that material.

EEA will obtain any additional permissions that may be required for uses such as participant photographs, videos, testimonials, or other identifiable promotional materials when appropriate.

Do not submit confidential, proprietary, or highly sensitive information through general Website forms unless EEA specifically requests that information.

10. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may contain links to websites, platforms, resources, or services operated by third parties.

These may include educational institutions, community organizations, government agencies, donation processors, event platforms, social networks, research resources, and other external services.

A link from the EEA Website does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the third party or everything presented on that third party's website.

EEA does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices.

Your use of a third-party service is subject to that provider's applicable terms and policies.

11. Partnerships and Collaborations

EEA works with schools, universities, community organizations, government entities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, researchers, and other partners in furtherance of its mission.

References to a collaboration, partnership, sponsor, participating organization, or supporting institution should not be interpreted as meaning that one organization controls or assumes responsibility for all activities of another organization.

Specific collaborative projects may be governed by separate agreements between EEA and participating organizations.

12. Research and External Initiatives

EEA may participate in or provide links to research projects, surveys, educational assessments, studies, or collaborative initiatives that operate through websites or systems separate from this Website.

Those projects may have their own participation requirements, informed-consent procedures, privacy notices, terms, data-governance requirements, or institutional policies.

When a separate notice or agreement is presented for such a project, the terms applicable to that project govern participation in that activity.

EEA's general Website Privacy Policy and these Terms should not be interpreted as replacing project-specific consent or privacy documentation.

13. Advocacy and Public Information

EEA may provide educational resources concerning public policy, legislation, social issues, educational equity, or opportunities for civic engagement consistent with its nonprofit mission and applicable law.

Information provided through the Website is intended for educational and informational purposes and should not be interpreted as individualized legal advice.

Links to government agencies, public officials, legislation, petitions, advocacy resources, or external organizations do not necessarily constitute an endorsement of all views or activities associated with those third parties.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also subject to EEA's Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how EEA may collect, use, protect, retain, and share information obtained through the Website.

Additional privacy or consent notices may apply to particular programs, studies, forms, or third-party platforms.

15. Website Availability and Accuracy

EEA strives to provide accurate and useful information, but we cannot guarantee that every item on the Website will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Program schedules, speakers, locations, resources, external links, eligibility requirements, and other information may change.

EEA may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue Website content or functionality when reasonably necessary.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

EEA does not guarantee that the Website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, EEA and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Website.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, liabilities, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

This provision does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

19. Changes to These Terms

EEA may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Website, our programs, technology, organizational practices, or applicable requirements.

When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Material changes may also be communicated through the Website or other appropriate means.

Your continued use of the Website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or another controlling law requires otherwise.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

22. No Waiver

EEA's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or EEA's right to enforce it in the future.
